   Moscow band “Ivan-tsarevich” was formed in 1999. The band took its rise from cooperation between Valeriy Naumov (vocal) and Vadim Timoshenko (drums), who participated in the joint project “In black and white” at the beginning of the 90s. The team consists of young professionals graduated from musical colleges of Moscow and St. Petersburg. They are Mikhail Khorin (guitar), Andrey Zhikin (bass-guitar) and Maks Oleynik (drums), as well as Tatyana Kiseleva (gusli, back-vocal) and Natalya Stechkina (back-vocal). By 1999, an unusual for Russia concert program had been prepared. It combined elements of modern hard rock, achievements in the field of sound technologies and show-making based on the best traditions of the national culture. The band’s style is epic-rock. Poems, songs and other Russian epics with presence of acting technique elements and energetic push associated with the genre of hard music. The second album of the band is being prepared for publication now.
2. OCOABIAXIM - Strannye lyudi

   The OSOAVIAHIM was born in Oreol city. They live and work in Moscow. All members of the band are over 30 years old. The band was established in 1998 in the night of the famous hurricane. It is the apologist of the alternative songs with elements of nostalgia for the variety of the 70s in GO concept. The instrumentation of the band includes PC Athlon 1700, Creative SB Audigy, microphone is also available. In 2000, the band recorded its first album "Ochem Molchat Trepangy" (“What Trepang’s secret is about”) of 16 songs in a home studio. A total of 4 albums had been released by 2003. The song "Strannye lyudy" (“Strange people”) is included into album "Zlodeyskye pesny" (“Outrageous songs”), which feature is that all lyrical heroes happen to be dead by the end of a song. A strange song about strange events that took place once upon a time in a strange place “Collective farm named after Robinzon Kruzo”.
3. STVOL - Sny

   STVOL was formed in May 2000 with the aim to bring their vision of the hard alternative music to listeners. At the moment the band is a leader of this style in Novosibirsk. The band carries out active concert activities in Siberia region and prepares its debut album for publication.
4. Sumasshedshiye Koyoty - Potukhshee solntse

   In the course of electronic experiments in 1998, the first two members of the project recorded album “Istochnik dobra”, which was the whisper of crazy ideas loaded into computer, and it was a really experimental and “underground” album in both direct and figurative sense. It was wrote and compiled in a bomb shelter of the Stalin-built house, which was the belonging of youth organization “Noviy kurs” at that time. The album includes 10 tracks of various styles with “industrial” elements and it is the first child of the team. After recording album “Chasty mira” (14 compositions) with support of “BEEmusic” label in 2000, „Ñ.Ê.“ (S.K.) project moved to Moscow. In “Chasty mira”, the band is getting away from pure electronic sounds and traces of the fank lines, which attract the band, are present. In the same year, the remix based on “Reality” of Rob Halford was included into 100 best songs of the worldwide musical site mp3.com, but it is not a visit card of the band because it is in English. By the end of 2001, the third album named “Teky” (17 songs) had been recorded. The bright and original music naturally including various forms and styles, pre-formed arrangements, combination of the electronic music with live instruments takes shape of a product named “RastaFank“. At present time: performances of “Crazy coyotes” take place in Moscow clubs like the Bunker, Tabula Rasa, Morysvil, Forpost, Matritsa, Sax on the Beach, Stariy gorod and other arenas of Moscow. Participated in radio-project «Radio 201». Search for an appropriate label for “S.K.” publication is conducted. Compilation of materials for the next album is almost completed.
5. Trali-Vali - Dyshat'

   “Traly-Valy” from Izhevsk has become popular in spring of 1998 after its first official performance in club “Cherepashka”. From the very beginning the band specified its style as the Russian rock-and-roll with songs about “everlasting” problems, which helped them to acquire hundreds of fans in a short time. The team members changed more than once within the years of existence of the band, but core members remained unchanged. They are Huzin Anir (vocal, guitar) and Huzin Azat (bass). Elisey Ehlakov (vocal, guitar, flute, saxophone) and Almaz Gilfanutdinov (vocal, percussion) joint the band in 2000, and Adrey Zlobin (drums) – in 2002. In 2001, the band released its first album. It often performed at rock-arenas, festivals not only in their native town but in other towns as well. They participated in such projects as “Ural-rock-2000” (Ekaterinburg), “Rock against drugs” (Neftekamsk), “Unlimited rock-2002” (Chernushka), “Old new rock-2003” (Ekaterinburg) . The band's arsenal includes 40 songs of various styles, an acoustic program is also available. Their credo is: «Music is our life. To play, play and play!».
6. DifFuZZiya - Otvet

   *DiFUZZiya* is considered to be officially formed on 25 March 1998. After multiple performances and changes of the band members, the musicians of the band understood that it was a time to start playing more complex and interesting music, and their main task was to find a “cutting through” drummer. Finally, at the beginning of 2001, *DiFUZZiya* found such a person and started making experiments and doing thing absolutely different from those they did earlier. In March of 2001, *DiFUZZiya* started its performances again with a new team and new program. The music played by *DiFUZZiya* now can be defined as the alternative experimental music with elements of grunge, funk, noise, hardcore and many others. Starting from July 2000, the band regularly performs in Moscow and other cities, participates in various actions and festivals.
7. Golfstrim - Dersu Uzala

   “Golfstrim” was formed in October 1995 on the basis of the club of the Bishbek Polytechnic Institute. 23 February 1996. DK «Zhashtyk». The first performance of the Golfstrim. The first solo concert took place in the popular rock-club “Tequila-Blues ” of Bishbek in winter of 1997. 20 compositions are in two sections. This was a real festival for both listeners and musicians. The performance was a test for endurance on stage. 1998. The year of ascents and falls.... February. The second anniversary of the Golfstrim was celebrated in “Zhashtyk”. It was a great festival with advertisements on radio and television. The best bands of the city played Golfstrim's songs in their own arrangement to congratulate the band. 1998 was also a year of crisis for the band. Internal disagreements resulted in disintegration of the band. It seemed that none of musicians would want to play again. Almost a year had passed before the Golfstrim revived again, but they played acoustic music. 2001. This is the year of professional growth, hopes and understanding the fact that their songs are played on guitar together with popular motives during various parties, birthday parties and other celebrations of the Bishkek inhabitants. Now, the band performs a lot and records videoclips.
8. Aleteya - Rassvet

   Aleteya was formed by Kiril Vostrikov in Ekaterinburg in 1995. By 1998, a permanent team of four musicians had been formed. They played the alternative music. The first album “Rebyata, uspokoytes!” was recorded at studio «NP-Records» in 1997. The band's songs were also included into collections «Ural-rock», «NP – dance hit», «Rock’n’Roll», «Hot Dog», «3 in 1». The first clip was made in 1997. It was based on “Tyry-pyry” song from album “Rebyata, uspokoytes” and was shown by local television in Ekaterenburg. The Aleteya was the winner of the following festivals: «Nachalo», «Ural-rock», «Vesna-UPI». The band participated in the following celebrations and festivals: “City Day” of Ekaterinburg in 1997, 1998, 2001; «Metallurgist Day» in town of Verhniyay Pyshma in 2000; festival of trade center «Dirizhabl», musical project Rock @ Art in October 2002 and it was also included in the collection produced under this project; closing of “Lyuk” club in 2003 and others. The Aleteya gave “warming up” performances for the following bands: «Dolphin», «Zdob Si Zdub», «Va-bank», «King and fool», «BonyHem». The band participated in joint concerts with the following popular teams: «Chicherina», «Kirpichy», «Smyslovyeye galyutsinatsyi», it often participates in club concerts and gives performances at open stages during summer season. Their song “Pod prolivnym dozhdem” recorded in 2000 was repeatedly played by “Pilot” radio. The same song participated in section “Ono vam nado” of the Moscow-based radio station “Nashe radio”, and song “Ya odin” as well. Several times the team took part in broadcasts of SGTRK radio. Some time ago, a presentation of new versions of songs “Soldat” and “Svoboda eto raiy” took place in rock-club “Faust”. Several new songs and some songs that are already known to the fans are being recorded now in the home studio.
9. Chetyre - Dolya

   The band was formed in 2001. Nobody made an attempt to identify the style but it is considered to be the post-grandzh. The team gave its performances in tis native city. It visited the city of Kazan several times. At the moment, technical level of the band is being improved to make a professional record of selected material.
10. SKAT - Uletayesh'

    SKAT is an alternative formation of Perm, which is the city that did not give any band for the Russian arena. The boys want to improve the situation by their music and force. Within one year and six months the band obtained the recognition in underground alternative Russian environment. On its credit side, the band has several alternative compilations and “a pile” of positive comments from various zins. The band, which music is the closest to the music of the SKAT, is the DEFTONES, however this “comparison” does not deny or cancel originality and individual style of the SKAT, as well as there is no an impression of a “secondary thing” after listening to the material. In the music of SKAT, pseudo-heavy guitars conceal expressive texts, which themes could be very close to the many, but people are usually silent about them, and listening to the text, they get filled with trust and become more open for us, which adds to the energy and mutual understanding during concerts. SKAT's texts are free of the obscene language or any propaganda of violence or politics. We don't obtrude our internal world expressed in the songs upon others, and your opinion about us is just your personal opinion.

    Naive-snotty-saucy childhood of the METAMPSY (at that time the METAMPSY H.O.Z.) is hidden from your eyes. 12. Dikoye pole - Skazka

    The Dikoe pole was formed in the city of Krasnogorsk in 1999. It was formed by guitarist Rostislav Kharlamov and drummer Andrey Mesheryakov, then bass guitarist Vladimir Cherepanov joint them and trumpeter Evgeniy Volkov joint the band six months later. Musicians recorded a demo album consisting of six songs and give performances in various Moscow clubs like "Formula-1", "Radio GAGA", "Plekhanov", "Yu-Tu", "R-Club". After successful performance in “Formula-1” club, the band was invited by the M1 TV channel where they presented their “Bivis and Bathed” song in the “Doroe utro” (“Good morning”) program. Before that, the band had participated in a concert “Ritmi 20 veka” (Rhythms of 20th century) in Krasnogorsk, where they sang songs "Beatles" and "Leningrad". More than 2000 people attended the open concert. About the style: as musicians of the Dikoe pole claim, they work in various styles of rock and roco-pops, and something else, to please people is of prime importance.

    Legendary band Òîìñàt was formed in 1988 in Moscow school No ¹29 of Ramenka district and its name was “Splin” at that distant past, however paradoxically it is. The detailed biography can be read at the band's Website. Presently, a new album “Odin” is recorded and about to be released.
14. Muab-Galsh - Ne moi zveri

    “Muab-Galsh” band. History. Almost everything resembles official procedures. Almost a tale. Once upon a time there was a manly band “Shlagbaum”. It sang songs in the city of Perm and not only there. It was successful and active. In spite of the fact that its birth is dated back to the middle of the 80s, and names of people who had a part (hand, foot, heart, soul) in its activities are cautiously stored in the collective memory, the band included the following musicians by the 90s: Vadim Drachev (Meduza). He sings songs and plays music a little bit; Yuriy Borysov. He sings songs generally and plays music unscrupulously; Dmitriy Sedov (Shtift). He sings songs unscrupulously and plays music unscrupulously; Aleksandr Kraev. He plays, plays, plays music; Vladimir Yakovlev (Yasha). He drums, drums, drums. "Mountains crawled against the soul and it became green ...", "Cranes will sing songs for me for a long time after they all fly away to you…", "To steal tomatoes – dye for tomatoes…", "Line PA…", "I am in the bath!!!!!" are an incomplete list of quotations from the best hits of the Shlabaum (Borya Shved wrote the texts), but… Vadim Drachev (Meduza) once said: "STOP!" and, with eagerness to be respected, afforded himself being a respectful person without song singing. Without his song singing, the other members of the band did not degrade down to self-maiming and published their needs in “Permskiy vestnik” paper: they said they want anyone who can sing songs and, above all, wants to sing. They could not sing but wanted; the only girl Zhanna (then Kalsina) didn't want to sing but, for some reason, was able to sing (with difficulties). It was 1990. The name of the band changed to “Muab-Galch” by reversing the letters of the previous name. In winter of 1991, the first album “Belaya India” appeared and experts quickly found that it was about hard women life (ironically, of course). May be. May be. Suffice it to remember such compositions as “Pronevinnost”, “Tango vetra i snega”, “Obernis”, “Dura”, “Svechi”, and heading “Belaya India”. However, it doesn't matter how long broken pieces of girls' dreams would float on the text surface, indivisible on sexual basis phrase: “The world is too simple to be just happy in it” can be also traced there. This is said, if your interest to compilation is still alive within you. From 1991 to 1994, the concert life of the band was boiling and foaming in the region and beyond. Special feelings arise within musicians when they remember the first real concert with female (Zhanna's) vocal that took place in March 1991 in the Polytechnic Institute of Perm, visit to Samara and local rock festival “Samiy plokhoy-92”. They also remember the work on videoclips with Sergey Makarov and Nataliyey Shostinoy, which sometimes appeared on blue screens, either in local programs or in programs, for example “A”. And further ... Once “A” is present, “B” should follow, i.e. “Disappointments do happen in life”. Aleksandr Kraev quited without a promise to be back; Muabs lost their rehearsal base; sound recording sector of national economy in Perm decided not to speed up its development and Maecenas were in great demand because they weren't available at all. Therefore, all songs of the Muab-Galsh wrote from 1991 to 1998 (excluding two years of downtime) were not immortalized. (For those who feel nostalgic, we want them to remember at least such Muab's things as “Help me undress”, "Cold summer of 1992", "Anna" ("Mertvye moi stranniki, strannye moi mertvie"), "Not mine", "Nobody understood nothing" and others. – do remember – do not be shy.) Within this period, composition “Bez slov” for collection "Pesni dlya Tani M." was recorded, performance on ROCK-LINE took place (may not only on the Rock-LINE), relations of the team members with the world improved a little bit: Yuriy and Dmitriy studied problems of fathers and children; Zhanna (presently Denisova) was searching for her style on radio; Vladymyr – see problems of Yuriy and Dmitriy plus drumming and self-perfection inside other teams, for example gr. Dom (by the way Dima is also fond of playing with somebody else). The same was carried out until rehearsal shelter was obtained and album “Garpiya” published (1998). Possibly, when looking from the heights of its mythic flight, the life is as it is presented there: a bit spoiled by playing ("Ley-ley", "Nikogda – ni za chto", "Kto prishol", "Vampa-dudochka"); a bit crazy ("Garpiya", "Belaya sova", "Ne moi zvery", "Kukla"). The other things of the muabs will be available with the passage of time. Anyway, each of the following members of the team: Zhanna Denisova – vocal Vladimir Yakovlev – drums Dmitriy Sedov – bass, guitar Yuriy Borysov - guitar and from 1999 – Stas Brazhnov (bass singer of Party-Port band) has his/her own opinion as to the future. Let's wait, listen to new things and evaluate them. It's nice that there is no material interest behind their music – do whatever you want to do!!!

    The band arrived in Moscow from Angarsk town (Irkutskaya region) in summer of 2001. Before this trip, the band's name was "Iszhoga” and it was successful on stages in Irkutsk, but the music of the band somewhat changed and its members decided to change the name to "Barabanda". The team recorded two tracks at studio "Black bird". Moreover, song "Bazara net!" was used as a sound track for movie "Spartak and Kalashnikov" ("Mosfilm", film studio "Krug"). Thereafter, after working in the following clubs: " Tabula rasa", "Tochka", "Svalka", "Yu-tu", "Òàõmàn", the band recorded several new songs in various studios of Moscow.

    Aero Plan band was formed on the birthday of bass-guitarist Andrey Prokofiev Ãðóïïà on 26 October 1997. On the same day, the first concert of the team took place in Pinokkio club in St. Petersburg. The band actively gives concerts in the following clubs of St. Petersburg: City, Fish Fabrique, Moloko, Griboedov, concert hall “Zoopark”. At the same time, song “Doroga” was recorded on studio “Forum”. Presently, the band is working on the album.

    The project originated from Moscow. The band started its activities in 1996. The idea provided by Av (lyrics, music) with participation of Set (lyrics), Romaryo, Den Pa and others. About ten albums and 6 professionally mounted video-works were produced within the project. One of the video-works Tvoy Put was shown on MTV in the program of Alexandr F. Sklyar. The band was included into the first five best bands participated in the contest on “Radio 2000”. Positive reviews were done for some albums in the leading publication about rock-music «DARK CITY» . From the very beginning, the project was oriented on the hard industrial sound with rich and saturated arrangements with adding ethnic and symphonic elements in combination with live guitar and keyboard music, which provide the music of ANIMA with 100% original and recognizable sound. The target audience of the band is socially active and educated young people and grown-ups who can make self-analysis of a personality, criticize the surrounding reality and resist imposed priorities and influence of mass media. Presently, the team is working on an absolutely new material about one of the most ancient civilizations on the earth, saturated with very atmospheric ethnic and charming colors. Competent historians, experts in the culture and linguistics are invited to participate in the work.

    Let's start with the fact that Maxiwave or Maxim is a singer and composer. Within a short period of its existence in the show-business (2 years), the Maxiwave has managed to become a significant and noticeable project in the show-business of Odessa and other cities as well. Maxiwave himself is originator of the idea and author of texts and music. Presently, a debut albun of Maxiwave is recorded. Another 10 songs are at the finalization stage. Within two years of working, the band gained enough experience and ideas for invasion into the big show-business. The singer's image is quite different from the other projects by its manner, musical material, and nothing similar does exist.
