1. Vozvraschenie - Vesnyanka

   For the first time the team started its performances under this name in 1998. In November of 1999, the band took part in Moscow Regional Festival “Hit-99” that was arranged in Klin town under motto “Rock against drugs”, and song “Ivan-da-Marya” won in nomination “The bes song” and became a hit of the festival. From 1998 to 2000, the band performed a lot in clubs of Moscow and Moscow region. It participated and later became a co-organizer of a series of charity festivals “Live help”, which takes place in towns of Trotsk and Zheleznodorozhniy (takings of these concerts are allocated for the relief fund for children-invalids of these towns). In September 2002, the band recorded its first album “Vverh po techeniyu”, searched for contacts at radio and television, prepared for making a video-clip, carried out active concert activities. Along with social problems, romantics isn't alien to us. In album “Vverh po techeniyu”, we try to find commonality between ancient Russia and surrounding reality.

   Its style is postcivilization, quasipsychedelic and promeditative. :-) You may think whatever you want to think. We call it "Fallout". This is something similar to post-punk, post-rock, and generally to everything “post-”. This is not even a style, but a new trend envisaging a large number of exclusions. Lack of distinctness, foolish philosophical ideas and hidden search for obvious motives in the texts are expressed clearly. Imageries formed when listening are quite depressive but at the same time some optimistic charge is carried, which is especially noticeable during concerts. The strange paradox is being studied at the moment. 23 December 2001 is considered to be the official birthday. On this day, the band gave its first concert with the main aim being to destroy apprehensions of their friends for ability of the band to perform on the stage. Then a lot of work followed in the found style and the first really debut concert took place in Moscow, whatever strange it is for a band from St. Petersburg, in “Svalka” on 15 October 2002. Presently, the band performs sometimes, makes experiments with sound, enlarges its program and makes preparations to the studio work on an album.

   Band “Stereoliza” formed late autumn of 2000. Acquaintance of Katya with Alexey was an incitement to the project. Everything happened as it were on the stage. Alexey's friends invited him to try a new hydro-costume during rowing on a boat. In spite of a cold weather and autumn drizzling, Alexey put on the costume and bravely got ready for water ski-running. At the same time, Katya, who happened to be in the boat, watched the performance admiring the braveness of Alexey. Shaking with cold but victorious, Alexey returned to the boat after testing the new equipment and it was a nice surprise for him when a pretty and slim girl offered him a cup of hot tea. During the talk, Katya told that she had performed a lot with amateur bands including the jazz ones as a vocalist. But it was not enough for a talented person. Alexey is also fond of music and plays the bass-guitar. For some time he played in the circus orchestra of Dnepropetrovsk, but he was always aimed at more serious implementation of his creative abilities. After some time, new friends found a lot of common in their views on life and decided to make their own musical project. Name “Stereoliza” appeared during a dialog as a result of a word game. Katya and Alexey made play with the name of a famous picture of Leonardo da Vinchi “Mona Liza” and decided to update it.

   Style? We call it punk-waltz without getting into details about the meaning. In fact, it makes sense to speak only about the style of each song. All of them are different. This is because we are different. We are different to an extent that it's sometimes a surprise how we can play together. So, probably all this is for you as well 8-). For whom it's of no value, they can go away with piece, i.e to hell. Why inZHir (fig)? Probably, because of Zh. And just because of nothing. And not “fig”. And because it means all these. And also because we don't attach any importance to these. We just like it, that's it. For whom it's of no value, they can go away with piece, i.e to hell. 8-). And some more. InZhir is animate. Therefore, we always write inZhir without inverted commas. That's enough. The site is made not to exhaust your brains by all sorts of letters displayed on the screen. This is not for reading. This is music. It is to be listened to. And the more important is to be heard. Somewhere here. Oh, yes. Just recollected. For whom it's of no value, they can go away with piece, i.e to hell!
5. Isteriya Orchestra - Zloba

   The band from Zhukovskiy town near Moscow has been existing from 1996. It plays the alternative music and is afraid of creative experiments. Songs of the band are a combination of stiffness and , melodiousness, live instruments and electronics and, of course, conceptual texts with a bit of self-irony.

   Got together in 1998 by chance. Two months later, a company of friends was sitting on stairs in the institute playing Yanka, Umka and Ivasy songs and other Russian folk songs. Nataliya Sherbakova, a friend with understanding of the heart of any problem (we saw each other from afar in our institute), was seating and tapping with her heels some African melodies. I was struck with an idea – Nata, let's play the drum with us. In spite of the fact that Sherbakova had never played the drum, her straight answer was “Let's do it”. And she did. A team of three was formed. We rehearsed at home at first. Sometimes we went to Dolgopa to play on the base of band “Maniya Velichiya”, in which our present-day harmonica Sveta was overstraining herself (playing guitar). At that time Sveta was a real friend for us. We recorded "Doigralis". Dolmatov came back in autumn; Chernov came back; Chernov left in winter; Dolmatov, Tankist and Vladovskiy also left. We were crazy about it. Miraculously, Alikper Chamil-Agly the 2nd came and brought me to my senses. We started to look for musicians. We found Tolya. His bass was so good that we were happy to death. Almost to death. Then Maks came, played Tolya's “Yamaha” and quited. Andryusha sometimes plays clarinet.
9. Banzai - Banzai

   “Banzay” band was born in 1996. “Banzay” was a studio project within the whole period of its life. Mihail Aleksandrovich Smirnov (ex-vocalist of “Green-Gray”) is and will be an unchanged and permanent figure of the band. Music, words and arrangements for majority of band's songs were written by this outstanding person. Aleksandr Gennadievich Glazyrin was the first guitarist of the band. But he is in reserve of the team from 2001. In 1997, magneto-album “Posledniy geroy” was released. In 1998, the band made a tour of Ukraine with a team of Ukrainian actors. Creative performances of the team won fame in more than 50 cities. Talented guitarist and songwriter Dmitriy Aleksandrovich Smirnov joint the band in 2001, and accumulation of new materials and search for people interested in promotion of the project at the CIS market started. Unfortunately, Dmitriy Smirnov tragically died in the night 23-24 February 2003, but he left behind both the songs recorded in a studio and demo records. The band will continue working as there is still something to be told ...

    Band “GavRoch” was invented in 1999 and has been including two musicians from its birth till now: Valeriy Netkachev – music, arrangements, guitars, records. Olga Kurlayeva – words, vocal. The band does not follow any style and tries to write those that can be written and sing those that can be sang.
11. Plutonium - Nevesomost'

    Plutonium band was formed in autumn of 1999 after musicians of the team (Oleg Burilov – guitar, vocal, Sergey Kargin – bass, Nikolay Pihtovnikov – keyboards, Aleksandr Romitsin - drums) invited Micha Kulagin (ex-"Indrunk") to be the second lead – vocal. These members of the team performed a lot, and this resulted in a concert demo-album on 22 April 2000. On 20 June 2000, Plutonium recorded single "Ona idet…" at studio "Volga-production" (Kazan city). The single was immediately included into broadcastings of Kazan radios (radio “Nastroenie”, “Volga-radio”). This record became the beginning of a new phase in creative activities of the band. Its style transformed from the heavy granzh into the music based on the alternative fank. A long sequence of event in the life of the band followed, and we would like to tell about the following: At the end of April 2001, the band started recording its debut album “V Efire” at studio Okhotnikofff Records ( Kazan city). On 9 March 2001, performance of Plutonium together with "DZHAN KU" band (St. Petersburg) took place in club "MOLOKO" (St. Petersburg). A bit earlier, a review of the concert demo-album was published in the issue of Fuzz magazine dated February 2001. The album won 4 marks out of 5. The next issue of Fuzz magazine published disk FUZZBOX vol.12 in which Plutonium, favored by the popular magazine, closed its collection “ona idet ...”.

    The team has been working together since 1992. Team members hasn't changed. They participated in various festivals and other similar activities. A single with four songs was recorded in 2002.

    Band Paris (Ekaterinburg) was formed on 12 December 2001. Participated in various festivals: "Molodezh bez narkotikov" – as guests ("Teatr Yunogo Zritelya", Ekaterinburg, 11 March 2002); All-Russian festival "Art-platforma" – 1st place ("Stroitel" palce, Magnitogorsk, 17-21 April 2002); Concert in club "Tecilovy sny" (Magnitogorsk, 19 April 2002); All-Russian festival "Vesna-UPI 2002" – 1st place (Square UGTU-UPI, Ekaterinburg, 8-9 May 2002); Concert (Arena of bike-club "Chernye nozhy" near cinema palace "Kosmos", Ekaterinburg, 8 June 2002); Concert arranged on the Youth Day. Bands “Serga”, “Zhuki” participated (Square named after year 1905, Ekaterinburg, 23 June 2002); Concert on the Ekaterinburgà City Day. "Sansara" band participated (Square of regional officers mess , Ekaterinburg, 17 August 2002); Festival "URAL-ROCK 2002" – 2nd place (Arena near Ïcinema palace "Kosmos", Ekaterinburg, 31 August 2002); Solo concert in club "Parizhskaya zhizn" (Tyumen, 1 September 2002); Solo concert in club "Beliy kot" (Tyumen, 2 September 2002 ). Participated in festival "Ravnodenstvye–2002" (Kazan, 22 September 2002). "Kirpichy", "Tarakany", "Priklyucheniya Electronikov", "Dety Picasso", "Distemper","Plutonium", "Elizium", "Torba na kruche" also participated ; concert within action "Rock-derby" ( Novouralsk city, 8 Âóñóüèóê 2002); Acoustic concert "Aku-rock" club "LYUK" (Ekaterinburg, 22 December 2002); New Year's concert (Novouralsk, 26 December 2002); Press Day, concert (Novouralsk, 24 January 2003); Birthday of band "DYADY", club "Faust" (Ekaterinburg, 15 February 2003).

    The current team of band "Karin Les" was formed by Aleksey Aleksandrov in 2000. Its shelter was in Folk and Cinema Center of Odoev settlement, Tulskaya region. Initially, the team played the whole repertoire of Zemfira, MetallicA and Kradenoe solntse and then got down to their own business. Presently, works on the debut album are in progress in studio TsNTiK
15. Britva Okkama - Net Novostei

    Band Britva Okkama was formed in July of 2002. The team included members of Banshy band and Elena Holmatova who joint them. Her mastery and energy made boys change their view as to participation of ladies in the heavy guitar music. All together they decided to change the name, rework old materials, study the new one in cruise mode and start studio and concert activities from the very beginning. This is the history of the Britva Okkama, which started to increase the numbers of its fans and friends immediately after its first concerts. Song “Net novostey” was recorded during the period when bass guitar was under control of Mytiay, and the vocal part was with Gaber, who was in co-operation with the band for a long time during one of his visits to Moscow.

17. Lo Ra - Gor'kaya Sleza

    A result of the Internet cooperation between musician L. Raykov and author of texts and poet T. Izaak. The project started in 2000. By today, the outcome is the demo-album “Water-nymph”. As usually, it is not easy to specify the genre. This is quite multifarious combination of elements of author songs, art-rock and pop. It is still unclear whether the project would be continued. L. Raykov is now working on a solo album with songs in English. Each of the project participants have been working in his own field for more than ten years already: L. Raykov has already recorded 6 magnetic albums. Just recently, after a lot of efforts T. Izaak was persuaded to prepare his first collection of poems.

    Band HangOveR considers the performance in club “Kreyser” on 21 June 1998, the day of the famous Moscow hurricane, to be its first real concert. Constantly balancing between radical post-granzh music and pop-punks, HangOveR produces a mixture of musical styles. However, this is not eclecticism because some core element is present in their songs, and this element unites various styles. As musicians say, their music can be divided into major HangOveR and minor HangOveR, “..is it possible that hang-over is always the same?” The most important “parameters” of HangOveR songs are “action and expression (until grown old, do “screw”)”, the most important subject - “the one supported by real facts”, the toughest band – “RevOgnaH, of course” (RevOgnaH – reversed HangOveR). “Encyclopaedic” explanation for meaning of the band's name exists: “More than literal meaning of the name HangOveR, which translation into Russian means “disagreeable physical effects following heavy consumption of alcohol”, is explained by contemplative attitude to their own creative work, cast by those feelings that are known as “hangover”.

    The band was formed in spring of 1995 after the Doctor (vocal, guitar, WERWOLF (Uzbekistan)) and Granda (guitar) met in a military school of St. Petersburg . In fact, the first of April is considered to be the birthday of the band. Drim (bass) joint them a bit later, and, after a short disputes, the band got it first name ENEMY TROOPS. All events, related to the band at that time, took place at the territory of the same military school. All cadets of the band were cadets of the military school. The music played by the ET in 95-96 was an acoustic mixture of Nirvana and Russian language, which was quite famous in the end of ÕÕ – beginning of ÕÕI centuries. But it was obscure at that time. Therefore, after Eduard “Bezumniy Ed” Orlov (drums, MASHNIN BAND, GORYASHIYE VOENKOMATY) came, Enemy Troops suddenly changed their music to rep-kor and punk-hardcore. The first electrical concert took place in club GORA within festivals of Great nastiy Bartenieva in November 1996. After several concerts, the team had to change the drum player for Ilya Veselov "Puks" (AMINOSIA, G.A.P., ESKIMO). At the same time, guitarist Ivan Montlevich "Tarantino" (OBRATNIY HOD) joint the band. The team members remained unchanged for 3 years. During this period, the band gave about 100 concerts in Petersburg and outskirts of the city; the band acquired some scandal reputation in certain circles; it worked for a long time with producer A. Ponomaryov, who had been working with the pioneers of Ukrainian rap-rock before; the band recorded several demo-records that are now lost and kept in secret.
20. D.B.T. - Zheltyi Sneg

    The band came into the world in city of Arhangelsk in autumn of 1993. D.B.T. means Dvesty Banok Tvoroga (two hundred cans of cottage cheese), Devka Byla Trezvoy (Girl was sober), Deshevle Britsya Toporom (Axe shaving is cheaper), Dolzhno byt tak (It must be this way) ...). This list is endless. Its incompleteness is the creative potential for listeners of the D.B.T. Some people hear these three letters for the first time; the other have been doing this for 10 years together with them! Nobody can be indifferent to fervor and causeless fun, fury and meat rhymes of D.B.T.'s songs. People of various ages listen to the D. B.T.: old watchmen start dancing during "sound check" when listening Kozlik, children when listening Igrushka, and, of course, punks find a lot of identical with their culture in tests and music of the D.B.T. The music of the D.B.T. Is not static. Four releases of the band are not the same. Some songs have become a legend, for example "Vasyu Dubasyt!" was broadcast by the Polish radio, it was also recorded on vinyl in France and won in "RealMusic Top 40", what else to be said , - the Legend!
21. Uvarov - Idi So Mnoi

    Maksim Lebedev-Uvarov was born in Moscow in 1967, where he lives now. He has been playing music since childhood. From 1988, he has been a member of various rock bands. Starting from 1989, he had been gradually involving himself into studio work, but the first completed studio album was produced only in 1992. In 1994, “Orkestr Marginalnoy Mistery” band was formed by him together with Vladimir Talisman. Simultaneously with activities within “Orkestr Marginalnoy Mistery”, Maksim started recording songs that could not be included into “format” of the “Orkestr Marginalnoy Mistery”. Unlike many authors working in only one style (blues, hard, pop, house, etc.), Maksim Lebedev-Uvarov constantly makes experiments with various styles. The names of his songs prove this: “White Guard Blues”, “Almonds Reggae”, “Romance-Blues”, “Svalyu-Kasatchok”. From 1999, an epoch of “Geese-and-swans” project started in cooperation with his wife Lyudmyla Guseva. In 2000-2002, two pure studio rock music projects “AeNeRBeeN” and “Fossa” were recorded. “Martial album” was recorded in 2002, and just recently, in 2003, Maksim finished recording new album “Nostalgia”. It includes songs recorded long ago in 1987-1992.
