   “Grimasu” – it is a band from Orehovo-Zuevo, which is near Moscow. The main conception of the band had been finally formed in December of 2001. The active concert performance of the band had started in February of 2002. The membership of the band is quite stable and hasn’t changed since May 2000. The debut album of “Grimasu” named “Absolutno Lusui”, which includes 12 tracks, was recorded in the same year. The creative work of the band can be characterized by dynamic skepticism, ironic dissonance, play cynicism. And etc…
2. A-LE - Papirose

   "À Le" – it is a nickname of one person. Why the band? Because many wonderful musicians participated in recording of the album, and it would be unfair to write the name of only one person. The leader of the project, Alexandr Levochkin, from 1990 to 1991 was a teacher of ensemble and arrangement in pop department of musical college of Orenburg, and at the moment he is professionally involved in the same. Since 1994 he is continuously cooperating with Irina Otneva as co-author and arranger. He participates in projects both of famous performers (A.Marshal, O.Mityaev) and beginners (V.Girinovskiy, Kati & Ê, À. Dakshitskiy, S.Avilov, “Garry PottEr” band, etc). In 2002 on demand of film production union “AGA” he wrote the music for “S.Einshtein” documentary.
3. Koleso - Nad Krishami Goroda

   “KOLESO” band was formed in 1998. In 1999 its live unplugged-concert was broadcasted by radio “MODERN”. In 2002 the band began to record the album at “Signal” studio in St.Petersburg. Also, the band is preparing to release the “Prityagenie” album (preliminary name). In 2003 the band consisted of: Ilya Kuznetzov, author of songs, leader-vocal; Sergey Smorodinskiy («PEP-SEE», the band of Maksim Pashkov ) , guitar, arrangements; Andrey Kuligin, bass-guitar; Nikolay Lusov (“SPLIN”, “Prepinaki”, “SOUS”, “PILOT”), drums; Aleksey Ratzen (“Televizor”, “AQUARIUM”), electronics, sound-producing, arrangements; Evgeniy Kirichenko, back-vocal.
4. Belovodie - Ne Dognat

   “Belovod’e” band was created in spring of 1998. Musicians base their creative work on best traditions of Russian poetry, which correspond to serious attitude towards a word. Originality and tunefulness of music harmonically entered the lively and unconditional rock. The band participated in the following festivals: “Dogd’”, “Edinenie”, “Nesezon”, “Krupitzu”, performed and continue to perform in Moscow musical clubs. At the present time its repertory consists of about thirty songs, most of them were written by the leader of “Belovod’e” Maksim Lipatov. The album “Na snegu” positively noted by all real fans of Russian rock.
5. Paris - Koshka

   The band was founded on 12th of December 2001. First performance on public took place on 11th of March 2002. For quite short time of its existence Parige has managed to with the following regalia at the following festivals: Inter-district festival “Art-platforma” – 1 place (Magnitogorsk, 2002); All-Russian university festival “Vesna-UPI 2002” – 1 place (Ekaterinburg); Inter-district festival "Ural-rock 2002" – 2 place (Ekaterinburg); Interdistrict festival "Rock-line 2003" – diploma (Kungur, Perm’ district); Interdistrict festival “Kommunicativnaya truba 2003" – 1 place (Berezniki); Interdistrict festival "ÒðàìïLine 2003" – 2 place (Cheboksaru). Each of the band’s songs has its own story. For example, the song “Tramvay” was played by “Hashe Radio” (Moscow), while the song “Poletu na Lunu” was included in two collections: «Recommended records ot Spetzial’nogo radio»-2 ("Spetzial’noe Radio", Moscow) www.specialradio.ru/parij and «Givi v ritme – 2» - the collection of musical compositions of bands and performers, presented by "Internet Radio Shock" (St. Petersburg).
6. Radio Gagara - Lory-Ei

   The band was founded in 2002 in Moscow by Slava Gagara (Loom). The musical philosophy of Radio Gagara team is based on very simple principle, which everybody can easily understand. It lies in acceptance of advantages of Proud Bird Gagara over Human Beings. Coincidence of surname of the founder of the band and name of the bird can be considered as pure chance. Nevertheless, the work on material for weighty album immediately began in cooperation with keyboardist-arranger Maksim Skvortzov. Coincidence of arranger’s surname and the name of well-known bird is a pure chance too. Then, but already not by coincidence, Guitarist Ivan Markovskiy and also Vladimir and Dmitriy Afanas’evu, who play bass-guitar and drums respectively, were also involved in the process. Using its music the “Radio Gagara tries from one side to prove to as broad audience as possible that the class of looms has unconditional advantages over all other creatures on Earth and, from another side, to reconcile our feathery sovereigns with clumsy activity of human beings. To do this it is proposed to arrange special concerts on the big floating platforms at the places of settling of loom colonies, and also to show the slide-show about life and death of Looms. At the moment the activity of the team is limited to distribution of two compositions recorded in the MDM studio, and brining of religious presents, such as Seeds, to the birds open-air-cage in the Moscow Zoo. At the same time they continue the work on the new compositions, such as “Krabovue palochki”, “Aina”, “Na zare”, etc.
7. Teny - Temnota

   “Teni” band was created in Autumn, 2001 when two students from the same university group had became friends. One of them was writing songs and was singing them with acoustic guitar accompaniment, another one was writing electric music and arranged somebody else’s songs. Many songs and minuses were made by common efforts. Later the band began to cooperate with musical sites realmusic.ru and dvmusic.ru, where the compositions have been presented and pages were registered. We would like to thank for opportunity to contribute to the collection ÎÎÎ «Spetzial’noe radio», and hope that audience will like our music.

   Electric hardcore (or something similar to it) on the theme of KOYAN, Machine Head, Slipknot, Tequillajazz, and Placebo… For a long time we wanted to do something together. And finally we met and gave it a try. Who are we? – Shao (Thick), vocal; Berg, guitar, mastering; Silver - bass; Sahar, drummmm. Musical instruments: Ibanez, Washburn? PC.

   Yuriy Kononov and Michael Danilov met the first time approximately in 1995, on the training of "Tapir Exopal" band, where Yuriy was singing and playing guitar. Those times Michael was a drummer and came to jam with Tapira guys. Future member of "Fo.To." band Pavel Shelushkin (rhythm guitar) also played in that band. Pavel, Yuriy and Michail already wanted to create a collective, but they didn’t want to repeat the repertory of Tapir Exopal. The history of "Fo.To." band began in the beginning of 1998, when musicians united under the mask of Pitches. The band had changed the name for «Fo.To.» in 2001, which means “Formula Toka”. At the moment the band is on creative holiday, Michael personally records his solo-works and makes sound-tracks for advertisement clips and cartoons at the studio of computer graphics. Yuriy works as sound-producer of the program pf the first channel “Dobroe Utro”

    The history of the band has started in 2000 and from beginning was called “Biskvitu”. Behind pronounced brit-pop orientation could be seen the semper thought. Discreteness of guitar passages emphasizes the unwillingness to be included in notorious row of clones of “Nashego radio”. Then were two years of experiments with abstract electronics, trip-hop and similar to jazz sequences. The time of experiments had stopped with appearance of new emotionally expressive female vocalist Yana Shultz, when period of productive perfection work started. Today the “Fanclub” – it is a pronounced bearer of innovative beginning in domestic music, it is a distillation of youngsters’ culture, “epatant”, romantic and out of mind at the same time. It is not a fashion, which is imposed on TV screens and in newspapers. It is not the artificially made famous project, which has the hunger producers behind. It is not a signing with the prerecorded tape and artificial mimicry. It is a music, which will make you stronger and more independent.

    “Rada & Ternovnik” band was formed on 7th of October 1991 in Moscow. Before that Rada was singing her songs with acoustical guitar accompaniment , performing in apartments and in rock-cabaret of Aleksey Didurov “Kardiogramma”. Immediately after its creation the band began to participate in Russian and international festivals ( Humania music, “Art-bdeniya", “Rock-independent”). The band quickly became famous as psychedelic band with female vocalist of Diamanda Gallas style, whose vocal diapason capability is three and a half octaves. In addition to concert activity the band makes studio experiments: “Lubov’ Moya Pechal’”, the chilly trip-hop album thought for “deep sinking” and now successfully distributed in Europe by French company Prikosnovenie (this company released exclusive album of the band in Miniature series in 1998), was recorded in 1999. The album of Rada “:Gde-to skazki buli” (songs with guitar accompaniment) and also her two collections of poetry and texts were released in the same year. Violinist Gennadiy Lavrentyev, percussionist John Kukaryamba and Anna Shlenskaya (kongy) have joined the band in 2000. All of them participated in recording of powerful electric art-rock album “Kholodnue vremena”. For this record the band has been divided on two parts: acoustic- sympho-folk with ethnic percussion is played with participation of bassoonist Petr Bugrimenko and violoncellist Elizaveta Nalivaiko, while electric part – it is shaman gothic with male back-vocal and analogous guitar reefs of her husband Vladimir Anchevskiy, leisured, out of harmony bass and solid percussion.

    Nois band was formed in May, 2001 in Mirnuy (Yakutiya), to play punk-rock deriving the inspiration from creative work of such bands as NOFX, Toy Dolls, Rancid, Pennywise, Ramones, Bad religion. Finally the band includes: Anastasiya Gdanova, vocal, Artem Zahvataev, guitar, Konstantin Lushchik, drums, Vitaliy Pokalchuk, bass. All texts were written by Anastasiya and Artem. The band had moved to Tula, where it will recommence its musical activity in summer of 2004 .

    The first dream of my childhood was to become the Grand Ballerina. Second – to become the Grand Actrice. Third – to become the Grand Pianist. Now I'm 21. But I still love to dream . Now I know that desire may turn the dream in absolutely feasible aim. It is now. But at that time I was just dreaming. Tired from my moaning and praying parents sent me to the musical school to play piano. I am known as a very talented, but lazy student. When I was offered to continue to learn music I categorically answered everybody: “I will never be involved in music in my life!” I am closing the printed music, piano and sighing. My neighbors are sighing too. It is known, that the rooted in childhood principles are very strong: I continue to bound up my life with stage. I write poetry and then cruelly and vainly desire to sing my own songs. It’s great to create alone in empty room. But when you feel that your feelings resonate with the feelings of other people, you sense a reciprocal wave of energy – it is doubly great. Actually, we are talking about well-known need of the human being to share, so the “new world” had been discovered long time ago and not by me …

    So, the history of the band started in Autumn, 1997 when five young musicians, who already had some musical experience, had united in SPK “Zarechya” with the aim to realize their creative ideas by combined efforts. At that time “Dom Kukol” band consisted of Dmitriy and Ardeniy Sychev, Sergey Darenskih, Vlad Alekseev and Eduard Mindubaev. The band became famous and popular in quite short period of time. Obtained earlier musical experience of all members of the band helped them to concentrate on main tasks: to achieve a good ensemble and to create skillful and well thought-out arrangements. The performance at the first rock-festival “Ravnodeystvie” in 1999 can be considered as a moment of glory in her creative career. Each stage entry was accompanied by wild reaction of public, and organizers of festival acknowledge by common consent that “Dom Kukol” is a leader of festival. Exactly that time they earned doubtful privilege to perform at the end of each rock-concert and musicians have been fighting against this privilege as they can to present day
17. Navsegda - Na Rakete

    Two people were talking in one of the kitchens of North-West district of Moscow. They were: Aleksandr Krulov and Dmitriy Gordeev. History keeps as secret what they were talking about, but it is known that everything resulted in appearance of guitar at the kitchen. It is better to say, that everything had just started. It was decided to create a band, which is later was named “Navsegda”. Exactly in that most wonderful place he met Sergey “Rembo” Tarabrin, who was there with the same “symptoms” and later became a drummer of “Navsegda” band. Alexandr Krulov, the bass-guitarist of famous in nineties metal band “Kroner”. He also became the bass-guitarist of “Navsegda” and literally its leader. Dmitriy “Paramon” Gordeev became the vocalist, who accompanied himself with guitar. Drummer was found quite easily. In fact, once Alexandr Krulov spent some time in psychological hospital (do not think anything bad, he doesn’t have any problems with his brain, he was only trying to escape from Army). There, at that time began their team-work. Keyboardist Denis Cherkashin was found a bit later.

    Elena Nikitaeva formed “Partizanskoe radio” band and began performing in Moscow clubs in 2000. “P.R.” concert program was based on Elena's songs written in 1998 and arranged by A.Medvedev. However, very soon the band began to work on the new material and to develop the own music style. Bright andr emotionally filled female vocal in combination with solid rich sound has really casts the spells on the audience. First three songs were recorded at the studio in spring of 2001. Nevertheless , in spring of 2003 the band broke up. Elena started to develop the solo-project and recorded few absolutely new songs. The songs, the debut disk consists of, really may shake many stereotypes of audience: memorized templates of communications, relations and the way to treat life in general. Elena personally has gone through everything, she sings about. Even through the smallest details. That's why it is particularly valuable both for Elena and her audience, which is a large amount of devoted fans.

    The history of the band is rooted in those distance times, when Valentin Demidov ( the only one of founders of “Seruy Den'”, who is still the member of the band) was 2nd year student of San-Peterburg's VoenMech. The first serious attempts to create the band was in 1974, after the trip as a member of building brigade. The band was named “Na zare” and was based in the club of tank factory, st. “Krasnue zori” (train from Baltiyskiy vokzal). The band performed at dance parties, school parties, weddings. Studies were taking more and more time, so the idea had to be given up. The idea to recreate the band at the higher level appeared after the graduation, resulting in creation of “Podsobnue rabotu” in 1979. The band were training in the room, in the communal flat of Alexandr Shalabaev, located in Derbtskiy lane. The musical instruments were kept in the same room. The wall between this room and the room of flatmate was soundproofed by Emental' cheese boxes filled with paper (the room was in the corner of the building, so only one of the walls was contiguous with berthing space). Door also had to be soundproofed in the same way. And what is happening today? Recording of old and new songs. What for? Probably, for anthology…
